While we focus on homegrown restaurants, a review that excludes Big Box is incomplete. The problem with Big Box restaurant reviews is that a franchise restaurant in one city may be managed with friendlier people than another city. And although the food and menu items may be controlled to be the same where ever you go, the management and wait staff can make a difference.
So, instead of reviewing Big Box Restaurants separately, we’ll review them as a ranked list. Here’s our list for Boca Raton – Delray Beach – Deerfield Beach area. #1 is Best; #10 is worst. Rankings are subject to change without notice. Rankings are based on quality of food, cost/value, service, appearance and votes.

Changes in 2015:
- In earlier years, Ruby Tuesday was ranked #2, however since June 2015, re-ranked as #8. 8oz steaks are now 2-3 ounce with lots of fat; fish overcooked, and salad bar unhealthy. Ruby Tuesday is a business going out of business within 3 years.
- Bonefish was ranked #1, now #3. Personnel used to care, now they only care about reducing portions and increasing profits.
- Golden Corral fell from #7 to #10. Food choices are awful. Quality awful. Caters to fat people who do not care about eating correctly.
