Been told Charm City is real busy. We went on a Sunday night at 7:00 PM, and it was very busy. Lots of people eating inside. We found a delightful table outside. The way this place works, is that you order first, then wait about 30 to 40 minutes for your number to be called, and then you pick up your food. Lots of young people are here.
Burgers were very good … quite greasy but I guess that means its good. We didn’t try the fries, but they look very good as well. I had “The Emperor ($10.95).” 1/2 lb of Kobe beef with sauteed mushrooms, Gruyere cheese on fried greasy bread. Ordered rare, it comes out well done, however who’s to complain when you are hungry and already waited nearly 40 minutes! Anyways, rare usually means juicy, however greasy is sort of like juicy! My companion wanted their grilled hot dog with kraut, but by 7:00 PM, they already sold out of hot dogs. Instead she had their Good Ole burger ($5.25), and she said the burger was yummy.
If you have a bad heart or clogged arteries … stay away from this place. However if you like Five Guys burgers, you’ll love Charm City.
